Misquoted Video: In this short clip, Charlie Kirk appears to suggest that gun deaths are “worth it” to preserve Second Amendment rights. This excerpt was widely circulated without context and has led some to claim he casually endorses violence.
However, this clip is taken from a longer exchange in which Kirk emphasises that zero deaths is impossible in a free society and compares gun deaths to car accidents. See the full context in the next video.
Full context of gun deaths comment
Full Context Video: In this longer conversation, Kirk argues that while every life lost to gun violence is tragic, banning guns won’t eliminate all deaths. He tells a participant that you cannot “get deaths to zero” in a free country and compares firearms fatalities to car accidents—people still accept cars despite crash deaths.
He says the Second Amendment exists to protect liberty and suggests that the focus should be on preventing evil acts rather than restricting rights. By emphasising that tragedy is an unfortunate but inevitable part of freedom, he asserts that preserving constitutional rights is more important than pursuing unattainable zero‑death policies.
Anti-GAY? This is perhaps the most important Charlie Kirk video you can watch. It obliterates the narrative he was anti-gay or a bigot in 4 minutes.
Misquoted Pride Month Comment
A viral clip shows Kirk reacting to children’s entertainer Ms. Rachel quoting the Bible verse “love your neighbor” to justify Pride Month. Kirk notes that the verse comes from Leviticus 19 and points out that the previous chapter, Leviticus 18, prescribes the death penalty for men who lie with men. He argues that Christians should love people by telling them the truth rather than affirming what the Bible calls sin. Author Stephen King shared the clip and claimed Kirk advocated stoning gay people, but he later deleted his post and apologized after learning the full context. Two examples below of how this was completely taken out of context if you can suffer thru them.

Full context audio: In the full episode of the “thoughtcrime” podcast, Kirk elaborates on his response. He explains that Ms. Rachel quoted one verse from Leviticus 19 to justify Pride Month and he pointed out that the previous chapter condemns homosexual acts with the death penalty. He emphasizes that ‘love your neighbor’ means telling people the truth, not celebrating behavior the Bible calls sinful. Kirk does not advocate violence; instead, he argues that biblical teachings should not be selectively quoted to support progressive agendas. The segment starts at 52 minutes and the bulk of the exchange occurs between 60M and 66M. Not the best pod I’ve listened to and really you can learn more about the kind of man Charlie was from watching the take-down of the anti-gay “conservative” that came to Charlie’s talk above.
